Viewing Publisher Permissions for an eBook Title in the New EBSCO Interfaces

If there are specific publisher permissions for an eBook title in EDS or EBSCOhost, they are displayed on the eBook Detailed Record. 

Publisher Permissions

Publisher permissions may include the number of pages that can be printed or saved as well as any restrictions on copying and pasting eBook content into another document using your browser's copy/paste functionality.

To view publisher permissions for an eBook:

1. Search EBSCO Discovery Service or EBSCOhost for an eBook of interest.

2. Click the View Details link in the result list for an eBook.

Scroll down to view the Availability & permissions area.

• Availability: Displays how many copies your institution has available to you.

• Download: Displays the download availability set by your institution for the title.

• Chapter Download: Displays if the publisher has made chapter downloads available for printing, emailing, and saving for the title. 

• Copy & paste: Displays if the publisher has made copying and pasting of eBook content available.

If there is a restriction on the number of pages that you may download, an error message will appear.



If there is no restriction on the number of pages you may download and you still receive an error message, clear your cookies and browsing history.
