For me, NGI chose me and not the other way around. I had options elsewhere but due to certain issues i couldn't go for my options. When NGI reached out to me, I saw it as an opportunity to complete my dream course and to finally have my academic life played out the way it was in my head.

Since the start of Highschool, I already began looking at potential universities. In Grade 11, I was fixed on either Stellenbosch University or UCT. Then I was approached by a NGI representative at my school's annual Career Day, where approximately 30 institutions showcase what they are about and what they offer, as well as all related opportunities. NGI caught my attention somehow. Since then NGI has remained a choice for further studies. After being accepted by 4 institutions in total, I chose NewBridge. I will never regret my decision.

How I heard about NGI, was when my mother told me about the institution, I had already planned for a gap year but when I heard it was offering bursaries, I knew it was a great opportunity I did not want to miss. Currently I am doing my second year, and all I can say hard work does pay off, NGI not only notices financial struggles of students, but they make sure that hard work does not go unnoticed and they celebrate their student`s achievements.
